Worldskills Competition takes place after every 2nd year in various location across the globe. It is the global hub for skills excellence and development. The event showcases the value of skills and raising the recognition of skilled professionals worldwide.

India has been participating in the gems & jewellery section of the Worldskills competition since 2011. Following were the ranks in last three Worldskills competition.

How to participate in the Worldskills competition?

• GJSCI conducts two rounds viz. regional rounds followed by a zonal rounds for initial screening of the candidates PAN India.
• The shortlisted candidates then further go through a national level competition.
• Winner of the national level competition then undergo a training under the aegis of GJSCI and represent India at the Worldskills competition.
